I am a soldier in this Civil War; this letter is writing to my wife—-Kandy
Dear Kandy:
Haven’t seen you for a long time, how has your life been in these years? I lived very well, please set your mind at rest. I joined the war every moment, now I set aside time to write letter to you.
I know it must have been hard for you lately. I’m sorry I can’t share happiness and sorrow with you. How about our parents and our three children? You must take care of them in these years and now as your husband I want to say “Thank you” to you. I think I want to encourage our children to join the war as their father did to defend our country and the people in the country when they grow up. In these years, I know that I live in this world not only for myself but also for my country.
Dear, I am sorry, I must tell you a fact now, I know all the people in our family miss me very much, and I also miss you. When the night comes, it’s the extremely moment I miss all of you. But I don’t know when I can go home, perhaps tomorrow, the next week or even years, because I don’t know when the War will end. The war is cruel. In fact it may never end, so I may need to abandon our family to defend our country. I’m sorry! If I were to sacrifice myself in the War, don’t be sad, because your husband died for his country. At last please take care of our parents and our children, I love you forever!
Your honey:
Dave
